Valerie's Home.

In the north-western end of the district, in the dense forest area, Some of the undergrowth has been cleared. To make room for Cabins. Each one secluded enough to make them easy pickings. Unfortunately none of these cabins actually belonged to her family. Though they used to reside in one.. the one that had been built by her parents. After their death it was sold. She still used it time to time, when no one occupied it. Whenever there was sign of life returning to it, she would leave and head to her cave. No one managed to find her. If they came close enough, the traps would surely make them think twice about going further. At worst she had to knock someone out and place them among one of the other cabins.

Recently she had gotten sloppy, letting people catch glimpses of her as she leaves their holiday home, their house. Taking with her their prized possesions. Normally jewlery, a phone, rarely would she take anything more valuable. Like a camera, or statues. She preferred things that were easily sold. Less bulky, hell if she found cash she was more then happy to take it. Only when she needed to. If spotted she simply smiled at them, giving a wave and blowing them a kiss befor dissapearing into the undergrowth. She knows the layout of this place better then anyone. Even if they tried to follow her she was faster then most. Weaving through the trees silently. Though on more then one occasion they had reported the incident and she would have to hide in her encampment. Hopeing they would find her. She was ready though. Those angels of death wouldn't find her.. wouldn't dare come near her. She sat and waited for her traps to go off, her warning bells. Anything. The first line was simply strings, attached to cans to warn of a intruder. The second set, pits with spikes, wire trip traps, where arrows flung from the trees to pierce whatever came by. It was one way to hunt when lazy. The final set of traps, had tree logs and branches ready to fall if the wire was snapped. Stepped on. Thankfully the cave was dark enough to allow her to hide while being able to see clearly what was going on in front of her. There was at least a 2 foot clearing in front of the cave.

There was so much going on around the HQ that Kage was the only angel left to respond to these minor calls such as burglary, it did take him some time before he could come to the forest, finishing some bussiness and paperwork but most of it all it was the past that was telling him not to go. In this same forest Kage did something that he now regrets more than ever. He wasn't proud about it but it was the only way, there was a part of the story nobody knew about Kage and this is why it had to stay hidden. Nobody knew his real intentions to why he is in the force in the first place, he could have quited many years ago. To most people Kage is a mistery and he will always stay a mistery but nobody will ever know what he did in these woods, something that took a piece of his soul, yet he knew deep inside that it had to be done.

People have been reporting some strange activity, that they can't find their belongings and that someone was seen walking around the forest just before their stuff went missing. Probably a thief, but they weren't sure who it was. It was Kage's job to find out, he went to one of the cabins that was forcefully entered but to his surprise there were no identications to how the burglar entered the cabin, there were no signs, no finger prints, nothing. It was a professional work indeed, some criminals think that their work is art, but stealing was bad and at the end they all get what they deserved. This thief on the other hand didn't take everything as most doo, only small items that were easy to carry but still had some worth to them. This was pretty smart considering that it was a forest and that if you carry a lot of weight ultimately they would catch up to you. But there weren't any tracks around the house, no idications to where the person went which made Kage walk down through the bushes, trees and some strange other plants that Kage wasn't focused on, his job was to locate that person but he was having a hard time...

Valerie heard the familiar rustle of cans. Damn, she was hoping they wouldn't go this far. Her parents always said that the cave was safe due to the crowded undergrowth. She took a deep breath. It was time to prepare. She held onto the bamboo blow grun. Fingering the dart, twirling the rounded capsule in her fingers , waiting to spot the intruder. Though really, for them to survive the traps would definately be interesting. She perpared herself to fire the dart at the first sign of trouble. The paralysis posion within set.

The familiar sound of the twig snapping holding the arrows in place, Four arrows fly towards the man as he makes his way throguh the growth. Setting off the second set of traps. A five second delay befor the second set of twelve wood carved arrows fly. Covering 1 foot area in diameter. This was ment to gravely wound anybody. obviously. None of the arrows tipped with posion luckily for Kage. Though if he dodge he would be able to see the clearing. If Kage stepped into the open at all a dart would fly straight for him.

Something was wrong, something snapped! At that moment four arrows appear from nowhere and are heading towards Kage. They were fast and with moments to react Kage barely dodges three of them but the last one scratches his righ wing slightly, he rotated his body but he didn't have enough speed to dodge the last one. It did cause the scratch to start bleeding but it wasn't over yet, twelve more arrows were facing him again, at that point Kage realised that he couldn't dodge them all, so he stomped the ground making water form around Kage bringing it up as a wall around himself in a split second before the arrows hit the water he froze the water creating an ice shield, one arrow managed to enter but the back end was cought in the ice. It was a few inches away from his head making him sight. At that point he knew that this thief wasn't playing so he decided to put up his guard. At that point Kage had to be careful who knew what waited for him if he continued unprepared... So Kage moved his hand on the ice wall and within seconds the whole wall melted and the arrows ended up falling on the ground. Then Kage noticed a clearing it was there, it would give him a chance to scout. He moved towards the opening walking slowly but carefuly trying to detect anything, it was clear. For now... His guard was up and Kage was known for his defensive abilities which were one of the best. What he really didn't know is what will it be next...

It sounded like the arrows had gone off, she didn't hear any screams of pain though. Hmph.. great... superhuman speed or a mouse. There was no way something small could set off her alarm system.. the traps. A different story. She used them to help her catch prey to eat afterall. If something tipped off whoever was hunting her. Then she was going to have trouble convincing them to go away... There!, she noticed the smooth white hair. "Noway" she muttered under her breath..her face scrunching up as she noticed the being. Not another one, the white angel of death was back. She almost forgot what she was holding. Tightening her grip on the hollowed tube, placing it to her lips. With one sharp breath she shot a dart straight for the man. Her eyes never moving from his form. If it hit him, it shouldn't take too long for the posion to start slowing down his muscles. Though complete paralysis would take longer. A slowed target was better then a healthy one, any day.

Valerie stayed tensed as she watched the white angel of death. No matter how many times she planned her revenge.. now that he was here. Unplanned for. She had no idea how to deal with him. How to attack, she didn't even know what he was capable of. His powers.. how he defeated her parents. She knew nothing. All she knew is their bodies went limp because of him. She lost them forever... her hands deftly sank to her ankles, pulling out a pair of throwing knives.

Well it didn't take long for him to get to the clearing, he caught a glimpse of something moving at high speed, it was small but it wasn't anything ordinary. He was a bit upset that the previous arrow damaged his wing so he wasn't going to let this hit him. At an instant he extended his arm and water was shot towards the flying object, the object was moving in high veolcity and it was going through the water fast, but before it could get any closer the water turned into ice, stopping the object in the air with an ice trail behind it. Soon the ice fell to the ground and broke into several pieces revealing the object, he walked towards the object and he crouched so he could see it better. It was a dart and by the looks of it it wasn't an ordinary dart, it was possibly soaked in somekind of strange liquid, maybe poison..? This was not good, at best he was dealing with an assassin, or worse it could be someone much more dangerous.

Kage then moved his look around the area, the attacker could see his wing slightly damaged which ment that even he barely dodged the previous attack but he knew it wasn't over. There was nowhere to run, but there were a lot of places to hide and this came to Kage's disadvantage which ment that he was in serious trouble.. If he didn't defend himself properly. He moved his look around the area slowly, scanning for anything at this point but it would prove difficult task of locating the person that was attacking him. But atleast he knew how to defend himself for now, utilizing his ability he could easily stop the projectiles... For now.

...Ice! Thats how he did it.. great. She wasn't sure how much area the man could cover with his ability... There was alot of arrows. If he managed to only get a scratch he must of been good. It seemed there was few options left to her. Use all her thrown weapons to test how far he go.. or try to distract him and make him chase her to more of her traps. She knew where each one was. And the especially fun area with more then one trap at a time would be fun. She only had six more if she heard right though. Well.. six more chances to hurt the man. Valerie nodded to herself. "Here goes nothing..", gripping the thin metalic handles, she shifted her weight forward as she threw the first knife, aiming for Kages knee, In a split second she had picked up her dart gun. It was time to go. The man would probably stop the new projectile, it didn't matter she was using it as a cover, she ran to the left of the cave, the closest trap.

Glancing back, She looked young, even for her age, she always seemed to look around fifteen or sixteen, it didn't matter it was only afew years younger then her actual age. It was obvious she was female, her clothes loose, but not enough to cover the obvious bumps on her chest. she made sure to keep Kage distracted, throwing her other knife, the same hand swiftly, with great ease as if she had done this a million times, took hold of her hidden throwing knives. One after another untill a total of five where thrown in his general direction. Her aim wouldn't of been perfect, She wasn't trying to hit him afterall. She knew he'd stop it. But she would made damn sure this was the last glimpse the man got of her. A dark blur as she melded into the undergrowth, she wore the dark green hues to make it easier when hiding. Though she made noise now and then, it was only so he knew where to go, she wanted him to follow her to the pit trap.

At this moment there was a large chance for him to get hit seeing that he couldn't see where the next attack was heading from it took a minute or two before he spotted something moving towards him, it was moving fast and going towards his knee, but in that same second Kage saw something moving in the shadows. That was probably the thief but he couldn't see the person very well seeing the projectile coming in fast he decided to block it somehow, this was a really easy block and the thief probably knew that. Kage just shot a burst of water from his hands that changed the projectiles directions towards some of the trees near by. But it wasn't over, it was just starting. It started as an easy mission, now it became a hunting game. Arest or be taken down. It was on.

Kage knew that the person was smart and that this was probably to take some time tracking down, at first it was strange, Kage started running hearing every fifth or seventh move the person made. Knowing from before the person was an expert meanin this was some part of a plan to lead him somewhere probably, but where? Kage wasn't going to find out if he didn't pick up some pace, he started running a bit faster, his wings were now going through some branches as he was barely avoiding trees and rocks in his path, he was moving quite fast but he couldn't be too careful, one wrong move and it could cost him a lot. Knowing this person something felt a bit strange, Kage though about the trap before, the arrow trap. What if she had set up another one, he should be prepared to block any arrows coming to his way... But thinking about arrows was a bad mistake.. Which will soon cost him a lot.

Ah finally, she could hear his attempts at following her, wow... For what she could tell, he was not one to air on the side of stealth. This made things far easier then they had to be, she easily made her way around the traps trigger, picking up afew rocks in her path. He had some speed, he was gaining quick. With one quick powerful leap she was up in the banches, throwing rocks to make it seem like she was still running, as she swung higher for a better vantage point, The thick leafy banches hideing her from view. She peered down as she noticed him run right for the trap. A devious smile crossing her as she waited for the right moment.

The ground beneath kage gave way as he stepped onto the thin layer of leaves covered in dirt. It wasn't a especially large pit, 3 foot in diamerter, six and half feet down. Though what was in the pit was alittle different, 2 feet long spikes made of thick branches littered the ground, leaving ten inches of space between each spike. As an added measure she flung the remaining three knives, hoping to damage his torso or wings, befor bringing the blow gun to her lips, another dart set in place. This time she was going to hit him. She shot again, another dart flying for his neck.

Well it didn't take him too long to pick up the trail, he was doing much better than a minute or two before, he finally could catch small glimspes of rocks going down the path as he passes by with 80% of his speed, making everything around him blury. He was concentrating on spotting the person that was running from him but so far no luck. The person was surely way ahead and the only way for him to catch up was going at his full speed. He decided to go with it increasing his speed now going to his full sprint which was being dificult having so many obstacles in his path but he got a hang of it avoiding every tree, bush and rock. Mostly he would just hit branches but they would break, one of them was sharp at the point and slightly cut his right cheek. The blood slowly started to come out of the new wound as it slowly started to go down his cheek.

A moment later Kage lost his footing, there was no surface beneath him. He was falling into some kind of hole, it all felt like slow motion to him as he cough a glimpse of what was down the hole, spikes, and a lot of them. He fell face down towards the spikes giving him a chance to react, he moved both of his hands towards the spikes. Moments later a large impact could be heard as he used his second element, wind, litteraly pushing him from the spikes upwards, at that point he sighed as dust covered the area, giving the projectiles heading for him a good cover. He really didn't see them coming from the dust in the area and all three knives did stab him. One of them hit his right shoulder as the other two pierced his right wing. He felt a lot of pain from the wound on his wing which was open and the white feathers soon were painted in red as blood started going down his right wing. He used his free hand to push himself away this time backwards, barely avoiding the dart that was facing him but he landed hard hitting a tree. He sat there, under the tree with pain in his shoulder and wing trying to take a moment to breathe, he had to relax but he felt stupid that he didn't notice it..

The dust interfered with her view, she waited for it clear befor doing anything, her hand drifted down her pants leg to where she normally kept her throwing stars.... great. She forgot to put them on. She sighed, checking her side sheath. She had her bone knife.. she didn't want to loose that one by throwing it. It'd be a pain to find the others anyway. Then pulled her pants legs up, yeap she had the other two. Well.. this was fun. By now she could tell the knives actually hit him!. Damn, she got lucky on that one he was sitting. Maybe the dart got him aswell.. there was blood on his neck. She smiled. Good. She got him. Or so she thought anyway.

Taking a hold of her twin knife set, she shuffled across the branch. Taking a deep breath as she pushes off it with great strength, flying towards kage, unfortunately, there wasn't enough distance for her to attack Kage like that, instead she landed four steps away. Rushing towards him, as she thought his reaction time would be slowed. Nothing but hate in her eyes for the being that destroyed her childhood.

This wasn't good, this totally wasn't good, but it was his own fault, he could have done this in another way without making the smoke screen. This made him feel so stupid that he actually made things worse. But yeah, it was too late to regret his move all he could do now is try to take the knives out of his shoulder which he eventually did, the knife that was thrown at his wing was surprisingly sharp making it's way through it. But he used this time to relax for a second to think about a new plan.

But there really was no time for that as the person was running towards Kage, this was really not the right time to be relaxing. It felt like the person was going for the kill... And with that Kage had to react, moving his both hands towards the person and with that a high velocity jet of water goes straight for the persons legs, and as the water was moving towards the person it started to turn into ice with a high speed to it, giving almoust a second or two to respond, but Kage though that this would faill.. But he could only wait for the ice to freeze, if it didn't work he had another plan ready to use it.

Valerie wasn't going to be taken down easily, with a simple hop, she flipped over the jet of water, extending her leg, as she pulled the opposing knee up to strike at kages chest. Frontal assault where not her strong suit, even if she hit. It woulnd't have enough force to cause serious damage. Only cause breathlessness for afew moments. She was more a grapple/ weapon fighter. At least thats how her parents trained her. It was also hard for her to regain her footing after these types of attacks. She never could get it right. And considering she was holding two mildly poisoned blades. She didn't want to run the risk of cutting herself. Even if the solution would only weaken her muscles. It was a much weaker form of paralysis.

She held the blades up in front of her chest in a defensive manor, the flat of the blade pressed against the skin of her forearm. She was prepared for a follow up, unless the man did something to stop her current course, she was certain she could land at least one blade strike. Disable the opponent, interrogate if necessary then eliminate. Thats what she was taught, and she damned well wasn't going to let him get away easily. If she landed her kick, she would arch backwards and try to stab into his legs as she try to do a backward flip onto her feet. Of course.. nothings guaranteed.

His calculations were correct she did manage to avoid his first strike making her jump in the air, she was trying to strike him with her kick, giving the fact that she was holding two blades made him see that this was getting serious and to that Kage could only smile, looking at the person with his golden eyes as his hair slightly touched the blood on his shoulder. He gave a slight smile as he knew he had to block this or it would be bad for him. This was really those rare moments when he had to hurt people. "I will be gentle.." He added with a soft voice as his hand moved up towards her.

At that moment the person didn't have where to go, she was a sitting target, but to what? She couldn't see water which surely made her curious or any ice... At that moment a loud impact was heard as the strong wind collided with the persons body, forcing her backwards and then up in the air. He really didn't want to hurt the person but he also didn't want to get hurt. He then used his wind abilities to slowly bring her back to the ground, the person wasn't even hurt except the first blow up at the air which was necessary. "You alright?" Kage asked as the person landed on the ground safely. "Hope I didn't hurt you.." He added with his usual soft voice, then he started to get up slowly but with a bit of an effort, moving his left hand onto his right shoulder trying to stop the bleeding, he had to freeze the wound slightly which was painful as he continued to look at the person, he flinched slightly as the wound was freezing but it was too late now. He continued to look at the person that was standing there unharmed. Waiting for the next attack...

Well.. she shouldn't of been too surprised when the invisible force hit her, it would of been obvious if she had really thought about it. How else could he have created that dust storm earlier. The hit managed to make her breathless... she rarely did get hurt. She rarely gave an opportunity to hit her. but she was out of hidden weapons for now. Great.. just great. she thought to herself. She still wanted to get to him. It was proving difficult. At least the man bothered to let her land safely. Her first thought when knocked back was the pit.. it wasn't too far away. He could of easily knocked her back, as she thought she looked back at the pit.... barely catching what the man said. She raised her knives again, in the same defensive stance, arms crossed in front of her chest."Whats it matter to you murderer". she practically spit those words out, as she lunged forward for another attack... if she wasn't so consumed with hatred right now.. she probably would of acted nicer to someone that spared her life.

Valerie should know better.. a frontal assault on a being that posses the ability to create water at will, or take it from the ground or something and the ability to use wind against her.. really. Frontal assaults are not going to work unless she thought things through. He was injured though.. she. She might stand a chance. She had to, her eyes betrayed her, she showed fierociety, but also sadness... they seemed to be teary. As if the mere sight of the man threatoned to make her break down into tears. It wasn't far from the truth. But she knew she had to finish this. And soon. If she got close enough she planed on another slashing attempt at his legs

The word she spoke were shocking to him, his eyes widened, this place, almoust five years anniversary from his first mistake that he will regret his whole life. At that time he was young and reckless and as he was trying to stop the male and female he didn't notice that they have been killed by his ice ability that was known throughout the land. In his whole personal record only this day is marked as black, the day he found out that his actions will take serious consequences. He still remembers the names of the victims.. "Damien Estrella, Nataly Estrella..." He spoke loud enough for the girl that was charging at him to hear clearly.

At that moment he wasn't going to give up, this point he felt sorrow and regret which fed him some kind of strength and motivation to never make the same mistake, and he will start with this, he will stop her attack without harming her in any way. He wasn't going to use his abilities but his body to stop her. At that point he ran towards her, he was still faster than her. The girl was probably confused with his move, running straight towards her empty handed but it was more surprising when he didn't even want to strike her. When he was in range he just caught her arms while the knives were faced at his heart, he moved her hands slightly up in the air, not giving her a chance to strike him. "Calm down.." He said as the blood from his wing dripped on the floor, the blood that was coming from his shoulder was visibly going down his white suit. "Miss Estrella... There is no need to do such things... I have paid my price..." Oh yes, Kage knew who she was, though he didn't know her name but five years ago he saw the girl.. Though he never did had the courage to find her afterwards and apologize.. But no words in the whole world could show how he felt right now.. Tears started to form in his eyes as he was looking at the perfect picture of Nataly Estrella, she looked so much like her..

The...He said their names!, it threw her to say the least, loosing momentum for a brief moment, as if stumbling over herself, biting her her lip. He had no right to say their names.... no right at all. Of course the distraction worked in his favor. Even if he didn't realise it. She wasn't concentrating on his movements fully... emotions had no place on the battle field. Clearly, as he made his way towards her, she only managed a weak attempt at a stab to his heart. Too late by all accounts as he managed to hold her up. Twisting her wrists to try and break his hold... she could.. but that would mean letting go of the knives. She couldn't hold them back anymore, the tears started to fall from her eyes, sliding along her cheeks. Slowly, but still clearly visible.

No one was allowed to see her, not like this.. not vulnerable. Not upset. Price?, what price?, she was the one that had to deal with the loss not him. What could he possibly have dealt with that was enough to make up for it. She glared at the man... wounded... but not defeated. "What price?, You took them from me..." This was not how she wanted it to be. She wanted to avenge them... she wanted to see him suffer. "You took them.." her voice chocked, she couldn't speak properly. It was like her throat was caught in a vice. Valerie noticed something strange.. the man. Was crying. It wasn't just her. Suddenly she fell silent as she stared into his eyes. It didn't make sense. He was supposed to be a mean killer, and here he was. Crying.

So many things went through his mind, so many things he though were forgotten.. The past was really having an effect on him, remembering what happened a few days latter. His whole family was assassinated because of his actions and the records about them were burned to the ground. He was forced to forget he ever had a family but he had to lie.. He was also punished with brute force, but even then he didn't break. They eventually saw that he can be used even if he has done this crime and they moved him in the upper ranks that had missions like this... Killing people which made their souls sent to the fires of Hell itself.

Tears ran down Kage's face as he couldn't hold them in anymore, his golden eyes still looking at the fragile girl that was preparing for this day for a long time and still if this was what it would take for her to finally let go of her revenge he will do anything.. Even letting her harm him more. "And you deserve to have your revenge..." He released one of her hands that was carrying the knife it moved fast that even if she wanted to stop her hand she couldn't. The knife made contact with his upper chest stabbing him a few inches from where his heart was.. Making him gasp in pain as the tears ran down his face.. "I.. I r-regret.. M-maybe if I could go back in time.. Your family and mine would still be alive..." The stab did a lot of damage to him and it was still poisoned making his breathing heavy as the blood started to go down his chest, he lost the feeling in his lower body..

Suddenly she felt a lighter pressure on her wrist, and finally her knife made contact with flesh.. the posion dripping from the blade into his blood stream.. Did he just?, Valerie was in shock, he .. he let her stab him, or he stabbed himself with her hand. She wasn't quiet sure what just happened. But he was in pain, she did it....She started to shake, fear?, Maybe. She wasn't sure if he was toying with her or not. But no one could fake that type of pain, and no one would hurt themselves on purpose. Not like that. She sniffled, " No!... your... your not supposed to." her voice weakened at the end of her statement, sounding like a weak whimper.. she was no hardened killer. She did what was necessary.. but she still didn't have it in her to hurt someone this way. She may be deceitful and spitful sometimes.... she was still innocent.

Valerie squirmed trying to get the knife out.. though that would probably make him bleed worse. She wanted to cripple him, interogate him. Then kill him, the scenario played out differently in her head. He would swear at her and tell her they deserved to die and then she would.. she would.. she would make him suffer. This wasn't how she wanted it, she was so confused right now. Crying like a little girl would. She wished she still had them to console her, to tell her what she was supposed to do.."Why....", why did he do it, back then and even right now. She shut her eyes and shook her head. Yelling louder. "Why!!".. it was hard for her to keep focused right now, his mention of family. It stayed in the back of her head. Not even able to understand what he ment by it.

Spoiler:

The poison started to take it's effect faster than expected as his vision started to weaken and everything was becoming a blur, yet he barely kept his eyes open due to the effect. He felt weak in his legs as the poison kicked in making his muscles hurt, it was a strange burning sensation that he didn't like. He felt so delirious and craved for something to cool him down, the poison had so many effects on him that it made him feel sleepy but it was probably because of the pain, he really couldn't stand this kind of poison.. It was basicly ripping him apart from the inside... "S-sorry about that.." He smiled softly as his breathing was heavy.. "Guess I don't want you to suffer anymore..." He added as his body felt numb making him stumble forward towards her, he fell towards her, trying to get a grip he grabbed her shoulder with his free hand, the knife was still in his chest and it made him feel strange.

He could only continue to cry as he barely kept his eyes open. She asked him why.. With that he tried to get his strength just to look her in the eye which he did. "It.. It was my fault.. they c-came right at me.. H-hurting me badly.. I made an ice shield around me... But I accidentaly caught them in it..." Kage then caughed out some blood, releasing the other hand that he kept up as he fell onto his knees, his lungs were filling with blood, he couldn't move basicly, every move was painful for him..

This specific posion woudln't kill, there wasn't enough in the blades for that, but it seemed to be taking a very quick effect, since it was directly being poured in, instead of slowly being placed into his system. Alot more effective, he seemed to stumble. That was a sure sign in itself, he was probably loosing his motor functions. he was definately in bad shape, she wondered if he was going to die right now. That would be a pain, she didn't like his answer either, of course they would try and hurt him, he was chasing them, he was one of the bad people that where going to take them away!.


And.. take her away from them, but they never prepared her for them actually.. yea, she didn't ever think it would happen. She stayed silent, she had nothing to say. There was nothing she could say to the weakened soul in front of her, she gripped her free knife, This was an opportunity to finish him. He didn't deserve it this way... but for what he did. He looked so.. helpless .. it sounded like he was really sorry for what happened. If he lived this way then, wasn't that punishment enough?. She could leave him here to his fate. That could work aswell. Valerie sighed, kneeling next to the man. Putting her blade back into its sheath, befor pulling the other out with abit too much force. "do you want to die ?". She was still torn between helping him or leaving him be.. it was far too close to her home if someone did find him. She wasn't sure if she could hold his weight. A wolf carcuss and a man where two different things afterall.

Kage wasn't really expecting this to go this way, but he managed to get the strength and pull the knife out of his chest, throwing it on the ground as he breathed heavily his look at the ground as his look was now dull, thinking about everything he went through just to get to this moment, the moment when he will set things right. Still the pain was unbearable but he could still speak, he was having a hard time breathing though and that was showing a lot. He moved his look at the girl that was now kneeling next to him his look was shaking, his golden eyes were showing so much pain and sorrow at the same time but he had a determined look and was visible though he couldn't protect himself anymore.

Then he chuckled slightly to her words, caughing up some more blood at the ground. He then moved his look back at her with a smile as the tears on his face were visible. "I want to help you.." He said with a soft voice as he was speaking with the strength that he had left as he was not kidding about that. "I will let you end my life as soon as I free this world from the corruption... Hehe, I was used to being stabbed in the back, this was the second time I was stabbed in my chest..." He added with a soft voice as he wanted to make the situation a bit funnier, he just wanted to see her smile even if he was using himself to make it. "When I bring peace and equality to this land, only then you will end my life.." He added looking at her still. "But I will have to fix the mistakes I've made in the past.. That's why I came here in the first place.."

This man was really wierd, even with all the pain he still kept on track, he was pretty badly hurt. She wasn't sure if he realised what the syrum actually did. She was certain he had no idea what it would do to him when the knife went through. "Help me?", she wasn't certain how he could do any of it. Save the world kinda thing, she had seen corruption once or twice. She was probably part of the problem. Though she never would admit it. Some people where really cruel, even to a kid. "Whatever you say, your in no shape to just walk away. What makes you think I wouldn't just finish things now?", it was a bluff, hell her voice was shaking with fear on the last part. She wouldnt' do anything more, she had pity for him now... not hate or anger.

She sheathed her weapons that she could reach, then looked at him thoughtfully.. "I don't need help.. I'm fine on my own. The only ones that could help me are gone", she didn't want to sound too cold but some of it was bound to come out. She wanted nothing more then to just be left alone, if she helped him, she would need him to promise something. "And if I let you live.. I'd like to be left alone". As long as he didn't plan on taking her anywhere. Or coming after her again. Then it could work out. She wasn't sure how he could fix any of it really... or if she wanted him to try at all.

He knew what it would do to him, these poisons were common to him, eventually he got used to them, but the pain was still strong as hell but he was not going to give up! He was going to save her even if she didn't like it. Thats what he promised that he would do so many years ago. She was a young girl that time and him taking away her parents was tragic even for a guy trained to kill. But even then he could not leave the girl like this to leave here.. He knew deep inside the girl wasn't a killer, every human being has emotions which he didn't want to use against her but he had to rescue her from living like this, she deserved more, a way lot more. This is why he only could make eye contact at the moment reading her emotions knowing that she wouldn't hurt him anymore. Humans were like that and that is why this race was special.

Kage was now fighting for her to give him a chance to make things right. With that he would do anything just to help her but he was not going to leave her alone. "You've been alone for a long time.. I'm not going to let you continue living like this..." And with that Kage straightened up slowly but painfuly just so that he showed how serious he was.. He was not going to let her walk away. "I promise to protect you from now on..." He added still fighting the urge to just fall on the ground.. But he needed to say these things and a lot more until she walks off.. He was still weak and couldn't do anything to stop her...

He had a better chance when she was a kid of taking her away. She could do it on her own. She had been living like this for five years. She didn't care what he had to say. Standing only proved he could walk. "Don't come back.. if you do. I'll have no choice. But to kill you". She wasn't going to allow him near her. She didn't allow anyone near her. She turned to walk away. She was fighting the urge to pick up the rest of her knives.. but she had to wait for him to leave. She was going back to her den. Her home. The little cave still held some of her childhood inside. She'd. Be damned if she let anyone inside it.

That's why there where so many traps everywhere. Animals or humans. None should be able to survive her traps... though now she had to reset them all. And come up with new ones that even angels couldn't get past. Wind and water users. She wasn't sure how she would combat those powers. She didn't even understand how they worked. She just knew that he could do it.
